Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to Smart Design Policies are subject to a thorough originality check using iThenticate, part of the CrossCheck Plagiarism Screening System. In addition, the journal also employs Turnitin for supplementary screening. These tools detect plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and the unacknowledged use of AI-generated content.

Any submission found to contain plagiarised material, duplicate publication, or AI-generated text without proper disclosure will receive an immediate desk rejection. The journal maintains strict adherence to the highest standards of academic integrity and requires that all submitted work be the authors’ own original contribution.

Authors must provide proper citation and acknowledgement for all sources used, including any content generated with AI-assisted tools. Reuse of the authors’ own previously published material must be clearly referenced to avoid self-plagiarism.

The editorial team reserves the right to notify the authors’ affiliated institutions or other relevant authorities in cases of confirmed misconduct. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to abide by these conditions and understand that violations may lead to sanctions, including permanent submission bans.
